When you come in for your appointment, the first thing we will do is to discuss your dental concerns and figure out what you’re looking for and what your needs are. This is before we even look into the mouth.

We will then do an examination for you and have a look inside your mouth which includes a tooth examination and soft tissue examination. We’ll examine your jaw joints as well, do an oral cancer screening and take some X-rays. We are very gentle and will make sure that there is no part of the examination that is uncomfortable or painful.

We will then take photos of your teeth since it’s a good educational tool to show you and share with you about what’s happening inside your mouth.

And then from there, there’ll be a discussion about a possible treatment plan, we will be providing you with a transparent quote as well with regards to any treatment that we have discussed. A treatment plan will also be drawn up and provided during that appointment. Sometimes, if there is a lot of work that needs to be done, we’ll get you back in for a second complimentary consultation.

At the second consultation, there’ll be no charge for it. You’ll be able to come in, and even bring a close family member if you have any additional questions. There’s no fee associated with our second appointment, it’s more so just to give you time to think about it and be able to make a decision that you think is right for you.

At the end of the consultation, our receptionists can give you payment plan options, if that is something you are interested in. Here at Dove Dental, we offer payment plans such as Afterpay, DentiCare and Humm.
